THIS THREE DAY COURSE IS DESIGNED FOR PEOPLE WORKING WITH HERBICIDES TO GAIN A BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF WHAT IS AVAILABLE, HOW THEY WORK, GETTING THE BEST RESULTS POSSIBLE FROM THEM AND DESIGNING EFFECTIVE WEED CONTROL PROGRAMMES.
Topics covered will include how herbicides behave in plants, factors affecting their activity in soil, how to decide whether it is worth applying a herbicide, learning what risks are associated with their use and how to avoid herbicide resistance problems.
The material in the course is ideally suited for people who have had some previous tertiary training, though those who have worked with herbicides in the past should cope with the course.
It will suit people working for chemical companies, giving advice on weed control or in a profession in which herbicides are commonly used.
