NEW LEVELS OF SUPPLY CHAIN CONNECTIVITY CREATED THROUGH IMPROVED SHIPPING SERVICES AND INFRASTRUCTURE ARE CREATING OPPORTUNITIES FOR CENTRAL QUEENSLAND PRODUCERS AND AGRIBUSINESSES ACROSS DIVERSE MARKETS.
In May 2018, CHDC with partners DAF hosted a tour of the Port of Townsville (POT), Port of Mackay (North Queensland Bulk Ports Corporation) (NQBPC) and Gladstone Port Corporation (GPC) facilities for more than 60 exporters, aspiring exporters and value chain members.
The 2018 Paddock to Port Supply Chain Forum brings Port Tour contacts, information and learnings to the Central Highlands:
-
Gain insights from key supply chain personnel for Central Queensland as well as the experiences of local producers from the Port site visits
-
Relevant updates on the near future for grains and other commodity freight and logistics
-
Connect with the people growing, processing, freighting and exporting the products from our region
