Call for Abstracts
The ANZCNS Ltd welcomes abstract submissions for its 8th Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM) 4-6 September 2019, Sydney.
We will be presenting 10 awards to authors of accepted abstracts. To be eligible for the $500 award, you will need to have an abstract submitted and accepted for a presentation at the ASM, and be either;
• RACP Neurology trainees in your first 3 years of neurology training (registered under the Neurology SAC and have not been awarded their FRACP yet).
• Neurologists currently pursuing a higher degree full-time.
• Member of the ANZCNS
Format for Abstracts
Abstracts are to be provided in English. The body of the abstract should be structured with Background, Methods, Results and Conclusions and not exceed 250 words (excluding the title). Abbreviations should be defined where first mentioned. Spelling and grammar should be carefully checked. Abstracts without results to support conclusions, for example abstracts with terms such as “results will be discussed”, will not be accepted. Abstracts will be published as submitted without any modification.
Abstracts can be submitter under following categories;
1. Epilepsy and Neurodevelopment
2. Neurogenetics and Neuromuscular Medicine
3. Movement Disorders
Abstracts will not be accepted if they have been previously published as a full paper, or if they have been presented elsewhere more than one year before the meeting date. A condition of acceptance is that at least one author presents the work. Presenters must register to attend the ASM and are responsible for their own travel, accommodation and registration expenses.
Industry Sponsored/Promoted Abstracts
These abstracts should NOT be submitted via the submission portal but emailed directly to firstname.lastname@example.org for committee's review.
Abstracts can only be submitted online via this website. Complete the online submission form, and cut-paste your abstract in the text boxes provided. If the submission was successful, you will receive an automatic acknowledgement of the receipt of your abstract.
If you wish to make changes to your abstract you can do so until 5.00pm (AEST) on MONDAY, 22nd JULY 2019. After this date you will be unable to gain access.
All abstracts submitted are subject to review and scoring by the Abstract Review Committee and will, subject to acceptance, be assigned to a platform presentation, or poster presentation. The reviewing committee reserves the right to contact authors, if required to clarify the nature of intended presentations prior to making decisions regarding their acceptance. Notifications will be sent via e-mail to the submitting author only by mid August 2019.
