Want to get your students coding but don’t know where to start? Then join our Innov8 in a Crate Coders Club program. You’ll receive one of our Innov8 Crates with enough gear to run a Coders Club in your class or with a group of up to 30 students. You’ll take part in a Kickstart webinar to help you prepare to launch your Coders Club. You and your students will have access to our Coders Club Class Notebook filled with resources, challenges and competitions. You’ll be able to use our resources to support your students or opt in to have your class participate in online webinars that model how to create and program digital tech and games. If you can’t make it online live during the webinar time slots, you’ll be able to watch them on demand with your students. Your students will learn how to create, code and invent using a range of tools including Scratch, Micro:Bits and Makey Makeys.

Program Inclusions:

This Webinar orientates the Coders Club teacher to the program and introduces the different tools that we will use with students to code and create throughout the program.   This session will be recorded so that teachers who can't make it online live can watch it on demand.

A number of student Coders Club Online Bootcamps are offered where students will learn how to use the tools and how to code.   Challenges will be set for students and at the end of the Bootcamp we will share what students across the state have created.

Join us online every Friday arvo in Term 3 to access support and be shown inspiring ideas and projects by our team.

Your very own kit of devices that is yours to keep and use in your classroom.   This kit contains a set of 12 Micro:Bits and a Makey Makey.
A culminating Student Bootcamp for sharing ideas and learning activities implemented by participants during the program.

The cost of the program is $495 ex GST.   This cost covers the Coders Club Crate, teacher professional development session and the bootcamps and webinars that your students can access as part of the program.

If you have any questions or would like further information about any aspect of this program, please call our Hub Manager Kristine on 0422 042 309.
