On behalf of the Epilepsy Society of Australia, we have great pleasure in inviting you to attend the 36th Annual Scientific Meeting, which will be held in Adelaide, 26-28th October 2022.

The major themes at the 2022 meeting will be Epilepsy Surgery, Genetic/Idiopathic Generalized Epilepsy, and Epileptic Spasms.

Our confirmed international guest speakers are Professor Helen Cross and Professor Dennis Spencer. We have many local speakers who are world experts, with special local guest Speaker Dr Aileen McGonigal.

We anticipate that the meeting will attract about 250 delegates from around Australia and the region, including trainees, practising neurologists, technologists, scientists, nurses, and allied health professionals, providing great opportunity for networking and exchange of information.

The 2022 meeting will be held at the Adelaide Convention Centre.

After two years of the virtual scientific meeting format, we look forward to meeting with you again in person in Adelaide.

A striking landmark on Adelaide’s Riverbank, the Centre comprises three independent yet seamlessly integrated buildings—East, Central and West—and offers more than 20,000sqm of flexible meetings and event space. Each building takes advantage of our prime positioning on the River Torrens, providing plenty of natural light and panoramic views of the river to deliver a heightened sense of destination.

The Centre is conveniently located at the heart of the City. To the North, the Centre overlooks the River Torrens and surrounding parklands, while to the South, the Centre sits on North Terrace, one of four major terraces that bind Adelaide’s City Centre.

The Adelaide Riverbank Precinct is a hive of activity and where the City’s cultural, sporting, education, medical, conference and entertainment zones merge, making it Australia’s best connected business events precinct. In addition to the Centre, Adelaide Oval and Adelaide SkyCity Casino, the Riverbank Precinct is home to the world-leading BioMed City—the largest life and health sciences cluster in the Southern Hemisphere—which is located right next door.

The Adelaide Convention Centre provides a range of accessibility options and facilities. All car parks and buildings are wheelchair accessible.
