Position: Executive Chairman

Adrian Di Marco is the founder and Executive Chairman of TechnologyOne, one of Australia's largest publicly listed software companies. Mr Di Marco has founded and developed a number of successful Australian IT companies. He has played a major role in promoting the Australian IT industry, as past director of the Australian Information Industry Association, the peak body for the Australian IT industry; as well a founding member of Software Queensland, an organisation specifically established to promote the Queensland Software industry. He is currently the chairman of the advisory board for inQbator, a company that incubates young start up IT companies, providing them with funding to commercialise their ideas. He has been a past director of a number of IT companies. Mr Di Marco received the 2010 Tony Benson award for outstanding contribution to the Australian ICT industry and was named Business Person of the Year at the prestigious Lord Mayor's Business Awards in Brisbane in 2009. In 2004 he won the highly coveted Pearcey Award for innovative and pioneering achievement and contribution to research and development in IT. In 2001 he was awarded Entrepreneur of the Year award. Mr Di Marco is a board member of the Royal Children Hospital Foundation, a fellow of the Australian Institute of Chartered Accountants and a regular speaker at business forums both inside and outside the software industry.

Franceska Banga has led the NZ Venture Investment Fund since its inception in 2001, overseeing direct and indirect investment by NZVIF into over 100 young companies and helping to catalyse close to $500 million of public and private investment into those 100+ companies. She has taken a leading role in establishing world-class architecture for early stage investing in NZ, initiating the policy drive to establish the Limited Partnership legislation, advising on tax and regulatory policy and serving on the Capital Markets Taskforce. She is also a Director of Auckland Tourism, Events & Economic Development Ltd and The Fred Hollows Foundation NZ, and serves on the Advisory Committee of the International Public Policy Forum on Venture Capital (a high-level international gathering of public policy makers and industry leaders responsible for encouraging high-potential entrepreneurship and venture capital).

Philip Weinman is currently Chairman of Deasil Management Group. Established in the venture capital arena, the Group strategically invests and partners with businesses seeking to grow. Deasil Management Group gives partners access to capital, infrastructure and management expertise to help drive and maximise long term returns.

Philip has undertaken numerous philanthropic activities. He has sat on a number of boards including The Crisis Centre,The International Diabetes Institute and Catalyst as well as the Melbourne Jazz Festival. Currently Philip is Executive Chairman of one of Australia’s leading technology based corporate travel and leisure groups, Plan B Group.

Mr Ben-Meir has extensive experience in the venture capital industry and commercialisation more generally. Over the past twenty years, he has been involved in numerous venture capital organisations, and has been a founder or co-founder of six start-up companies, as well as an investor, investment manager, and advisor to several other businesses.

Mr Ben-Meir is the Founder and CEO of Prescient Venture Capital, and has also held the positions of Principal, Private Equity and Venture Capital at Jagen Pty Ltd; General Manager, IT&T Investments at Escor Pty Ltd; and Investment Director at Momentum Funds Management. Mr Ben-Meir also co-founded several companies, including EneSolve Pty Ltd (energy efficiency); Centricom Pty Ltd (on-line payments); Giesecke & Devrient Australasia Pty Ltd (smart card manufacturing), and Security Magnetics Pty Ltd (identification security).

Mitch is co-founder of SmallWorlds, New Zealand's largest social gaming company with over 6 million registered players. SmallWorlds is a next generation social game and 3D virtual environment blending rich visuals, social interplay and a healthy dose of imagination into an immersive and engagement experience. Mitch's passion is at the intersection of where technology and design meet in products, particularly for mass consumer markets. Prior to creating SmallWorlds, he co-founded Outsmart Studios - an early pioneer in what has become known as Rich Internet Applications. Outsmart Studios developed a number of award-winning applications that helped establish their reputation as one of the top 3 RIA development studios in the world.

Leni is a software engineer, entrepreneur and investor with a international career across the IT sector.  Leni is a Director of flippa.com, the No 1 marketplace for buying and selling established web sites and sitepoint.com, a popular resource site for web developers and designers. He invested in 99Designs the global giant for crowdsourced graphic design. His current interests lie in education with learnable.com where any can make or take an online course.

Position: Investment Manager

Matt is a co-founder and Investment Director of Yuuwa Capital and has a particular interest in new technology investments including software, web based developments and communications. Matt has been both an investor and an entrepreneur in early stage ICT startups. He spent 11 years in Europe in the telecommunications market as head of international business development at Swisscom where he lead a US$300M investment into Malaysian-based Mutiara Telecom (now DiGi.com) and Deutsche Telekom as team manager negotiating over US$50B in aquisitions. On his return to Australia, Matt co-founded the Web 2.0 start-up Vibe Capital that launched the Minti.com website community in early 2007 aiming to become “the world’s largest parent-to-parent advice-opedia”. Matt was instrumental in raising over $2.7m in funding for Vibe Capital; and he led the company’s equity investment in the digital agency Market United and the subsequent sale of that stake to ASX listed Q Ltd. Matt currently holds eight directorships including with investee companies: iCetana, Agworld, Filter Squad and Dealised.

Mario Andreacchio is an International Emmy Award winner who has made 9 movies 2 telemovies and a host of television documentaries over the past 20 years. Throughout his career, he has specialised in international movie co-production with Japan, Canada, France, Germany, South Africa, UK and China. His latest movie "The Dragon Pearl" is the first treaty co-production between Australia and China. Mario has served on the Board of the Australian Film Finance Corporation and two terms on the Board of the South Australian Film Corporation. Mario takes a collaborative partnering approach to movie productions and has corporatised his company to slate finance movies. His current interest lies in exploring new partnership models to enhance audience experience.

Craig is a serial entrepreneur & investor with over 20 years expereience in the IT&T space and more recently an expert in building Cloud based businesses. He is currently the the Co-Founder and CEO of Cloudsafe365 and CEO of the Devnet Investment Group.

As Founder and CEO of Devnet, Craig led this business to become the first in the world to develop an exclusive partnership with Google collaborating on cloud applications and enterprise developments to celebrate a number of world firsts.. This business was sold the world leading Google partner Cloud Sherpas.

In the consulting space Craig led innovations in internet and Google based technology for a blue-chip client base including some of Australia’s most successful companies. Experiencing YOY growth of 200% Devnet won multiple business awards and media recognition including: ncluding BRW Fast 100, 2007 Deloitte Technology Fast 50, 2007 Entrepreneur of the Year - Technology Finalist QLD

Jim Kalokerinos has over thirty years’ experience in business development and sales and marketing, for scientific distribution, in-vitro diagnostics and medical devices companies. He has held both domestic and international board and senior management positions and has extensive experience in growing companies from a zero market presence both in Australia and Internationally.

In Australia Jim was a cofounder of three companies - Techlab Enterprises, Pacific Diagnostics (sold to Baxter International, a Fortune 500 company), and Panbio Ltd (ASX: PBO, sold to NASDAQ listed Inverness Medical Innovations). Jim has been involved in company merger and acquisitions and various capital raisings including an IPO with Panbio.

He presently serves on five company boards involved in medical devices, in-vitro diagnostics, retail, manufacturing and horticulture. He has been a serial Angel Investor for more than ten years having invested in many technology companies, and is an active member of the Brisbane Angel Investors and the Australian Association of Angel Investors.

Jim holds a BSc and BEcon and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Jordan is an experienced executive, angel investor, venture capitalist and engineer with over 28 years experience in growing and advising technology oriented comanies worldwide. Jordan is a Silicon Valley softwar veteran, and was a founding partner of one of the highest performing venture capital fund managers in Australia. He is Deputy Chairman and co-founder of AAAI and founded and leads Melbourne Angels.

Jordan delivers training on Angel investing, is an invited speaker at international Angel Investor Conferences and is a featured speakers a business events. He also is an invited speaker at universities in Australia, Asia and the USA as well as a frequent judge for entrepreneurial events.

John has extensive experience across many industries, including export of animal products, food processing, industrial fasteners, manufacturing of building equipment and computer hardware and software. John is a director of a number of companies, including JL Mactaggart Holdings and Associated Construction Equipment Pty Ltd.

John, through JL Mactaggart Holdings, has provided venture capital to many companies. He has played an important role in guiding Technology One Ltd through its formative years as the nominee of JL Mactaggart Holdings, which is a Founding Shareholder of Technology One Ltd. John has been a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors since 1991.

John founded Brisbane Angels Pty Ltd 5 years ago and has built it into a dynamic and growing group which has invested in 17 deals in the past two years. John has been instrumental in restructuring the group into Brisbane Angels Group Pty Ltd - a group now run by members. John is an active proponent of the portfolio development approach to angel investing as a practical and rational risk management methodology.

Viki Forrest has over 20 years of international experience in the high-tech industry spanning Australia, Asia and the U.S. Before joining ANZA Viki was COO for the Forum for Women Entrepreneurs and Executives (FWE&E) where she was a key liaison with Silicon Valley venture capitalists, attorneys and entrepreneurial CEOs. Prior to FWE, she was VP Marketing for Bullant Inc. Viki launched Bullant in Australia and helped raise $25m in funding before moving to Silicon Valley to establish the company in the U.S. Before Bullant, Viki was with Digital Equipment Corp. where she held a range of executive positions in the Asia Pacific region.
