2016 Indigenous Education Conference

Royal International Convention Centre in Brisbane

The event will attract up to 400 delegates from across Queensland, including principals and teachers from Queensland state schools with high Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander student enrolments as well staff from central and regional offices.

The conference will feature keynote speaker Education Minister The Hon Kate Jones MP, alongside guest speakers including the Director-General of Education and Training, Dr Jim Watterston and other Indigenous educators and community representatives.

The one-day conference will include:
• plenary sessions
• concurrent sessions
• a leadership panel and tabletop discussion
• post-conference networking drinks.
