The HCV 2013 Local Organising Committee invites you to the 20th International Symposium on Hepatitis C Virus and Related Viruses to be held in Melbourne, Australia, October 6th-10th 2013.

The symposium is an annual meeting that brings together the best international researchers focusing on the complete spectrum of hepatitis C virus research from basic molecular virology, to viral-host interactions, pathogenesis, immunology, vaccine development and the latest therapeutic advances.

Plan to attend HCV 2013 to hear the latest advances in the field, and to network and form collaborations with your peers that will keep you at the forefront of hepatitis C virus research and therapeutic advances.

AGW Delegate Registration:

The Clinical Symposium is open to all AGW delegates free of charge however if you wish to attend the remainder of the HCV 2013 meeting you will need to register at the special AGW Delegate rate.

Full payment MUST be received prior to the Sympsosium. HCV 2013 registration cannot be confirmed until payment is received. Accommodation cannot be confirmed until credit card details are received. Please note if registration is made less than two weeks prior to the Symposium the only payment option available is credit card. Payment can be made in the following ways:

1. Credit Card Payment
(Visa, MasterCard and AMEX are accepted)
Please note that a 3% surcharge is applicable to all payments made by credit card

2. Cheque Payment
Please make cheque/bank draft Australian Dollars payable to “HCV 2013” and mail to the Symposium Office. International delegates please note: Cheque payment must be received by way of an Australian drawee bank. We cannot accept personal or company cheques. On receipt of your payment, confirmation will be emailed to you. It is advisable to check all items listed.

3. Electronic Funds Transfer
Please note that the Conference will accept payments via electronic funds transfer. The Symposium bank details will be supplied on the invoice generated at the completion of your registration once the Cheque/EFT Details payment option is selected. Please include your Invoice number as a reference on the deposit and forward your remittance advice to the Symposium Office.


Alterations to your hotel booking will not be accepted over the telephone. Alterations can be made by logging back into your registration via the website. To access your registration you will need to enter both your email address and password supplied at the time of the original registration. Registration Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be advised in writing to the Symposium Office. Cancellations received before Friday, 30 August 2013 will receive a refund of registration fees less an administration charge of $275.00. Cancellations after this date will not be refunded.

Accommodation Cancellation Policy
Hotels impose strict cancellation policies and may charge 100% cancellation fee after Friday 30 August, 2013. Please refer to the individual hotel cancellation policies. The Symposium Office cannot guarantee new bookings or amendments to existing bookings after Friday, 30 August 2013.

On-site Registration

The Registration Desk at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre - Plenary Foyer will be open from Sunday, 6 October 2013. Delegates registering on-site are not guaranteed a Delegate Satchel.


Registration fees do not include insurance of any kind. It is strongly recommended that at the time of your registration for the Conference and when booking your travel that you take out an insurance policy of your choice. In the event of industrial disruption or other unforeseen circumstances, the Conference Organiser accepts no responsibility for loss of monies incurred by you. The Conference Organiser accepts no liability for injuries/losses of whatever nature incurred by you and/or people with you, or for loss or damage to your luggage and/or personal belongings. ICMS PTY LTD cannot take any responsibility for any participant failing to arrange their own insurance. This Insurance is to be purchased in your country of origin.


The program is correct at the time of printing, but the Symposium Organiser reserves the right to alter the program as necessary. Neither the host organisation nor the Symposium Organisers will accept any liability for any loss or inconvenience caused to any party consequent to such changes. The Symposium Organiser reserve the right to use any recordings whether audio or video and/or any photographs taken at any stage during the Symposium for promotional, advertising or reporting of the Symposium and/or its content at their sole discretion.

Privacy Policy

In registering for this Symposium, relevant details will be incorporated into a participant list for the benefit of all delegates (name and organisation only). Details may be made available to parties directly related to the Conference including venue and accommodation providers (for the purpose of room bookings and Conference options), key sponsors (subject to strict conditions) and to inform you via email of future Hepatitis C Virus and Other Related Meetings.
