The Contemporary Learning Hub is proud to be hosting the Know the Next Step Workshop Day. This high quality professional development experience will support participants to develop a deep understanding of how learner agency can be developed through the implementation of effective feedback processes in our schools.

Summit Highlights

  • Participate in the Feedback for Learning Morning Masterclass with Dr Cam Brooks. This Masterclass will provide an insight into the current research around feedback for learning and will share strategies for delivering effective student feedback, and implementing feedback processes at the school and classroom level.
  • Develop an understanding of how digital and assistive technologies are being used across P-12 learning contexts to transform content and create inclusive learning experiences. Participants will reflect on what the Australian Curriculum is really asking of students and will develop an understanding of easily accessible technologies that can be used to support learners.
  • Engage in an interactive Q&A session with leading growth mindsets and learner agency author and speaker James Anderson. James will unpack strategies you can implement to support students to level up from directed to agile learners. James will be beaming in with us and participants will have access to a pre recorded session on Learner Agency and the recording of this session for access back in their own school context.
  • Connect, network and collaborate with leaders and aspiring leaders from across the region and state.

Events are subject to the COVID-19 operating guidelines for Queensland State Schools.

Cancellation Policy

If the event does not proceed on the set date due to Covid restrictions, it will be offered on a future date based on the availability of our presenters.  If a registered participant is unable to attend, schools are able to send another staff member in the place from their school or cluster. Please advise us if there is a change. Cancellations for this event will incur a 50% cancellation fee if within two weeks of the workshop.  Cancellations need to be made via our Hub Logistics Officer Bronwen Stewart on 5490 2755.
