Mobile devices like iPads, iPhones, and iPods allow learning to take place in a range of contexts and environments. A huge range of apps are available to support students in their literacy needs...but how do we find the best apps and learning experiences for our diverse students?​


This workshop will give you the answers! Come along and join Apple Distinguished Educator Paul Shaw to explore the potential of the iPad to help transform teaching and learning in your classroom. Discover practical ways to integrate technology for curriculum delivery. ​

The content of this workshop is aligned to the Australian Curriculum and teachers will be able to access a range of resources to help them create and curate content for the classroom. This workshop will also explore the SAMR Model which can be used as a practical framework for the classroom to support you to get the best possible learning experiences for your students.​

In this workshop, you’ll learn how to:​


• personalise your iPad to make it the optimum device ​for you;​

• use accessibility features;​

• manages iPads in a classroom environment;​

• use multitasking gestures to efficiently navigate;​

• use the SAMR model to move beyond substitution ​on the iPad;​

• use workflows to create an epub using a range of ​apps including Book Creator, Inspiration Maps, ​iMovie and Keynote.​
