There are three airports servicing Moscow. The main one is Moscow Domodedovo Airport, also known as Domodedovo International Airport. It sits approximately 40km from the CBD http://www.domodedovo.ru/en/. In addition there is Sheremetyevo International Airport, which is 30km from the centre of Moscow, or Moscow Vnukovo International Airport, also just under 30km from the city.  Many airlines from all over the world fly to Moscow.

A taxi from the airport into the Moscow city centre varies according to your departure terminal and your destination. Most companies charge around 22 Euro from Domodedovo airport to the city centre.
 

Aeroexpress provides intermodal passenger transportation services between the capital and all major Moscow airports – Vnukovo, Domodedovo and Sheremetyevo.

It takes you 35-45 minutes to get to the Vnukovo and Sheremetyevo airports by Aeroexpress comfortable high-speed trains, and 40-45 minutes to get to Domodedovo airport.

FROM 29TH MARCH WE ARE NO LONGER ABLE TO ISSUE VISA SUPPORT LETTERS THAT ARE SUPPLIED BY THE MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS. IT TAKES ABOUT 6 WEEKS FROM RECIEPT OF THE APPLICATION FOR PROCESSING FOR YOU TO RECEIVE THE LETTER.  YOU WILL NOT HAVE ENOUGH TIME TO APPLY FOR YOUR VISA.

WE THEREFORE ADVISE YOU TO APPLY FOR A TOURIST VISA. YOUR HOTEL WILL PROVIDE YOU WITH THE INVITATION LETTER YOU NEED IF YOU ASK THEM. 

Foreigners planning a visit to Moscow should check if a visa is required prior to travel.

Most foreign nationals are required to have entry visas to travel to the Russian Federation. A visa to the Russian Federation is a document, permitting stay in Russia for a specific period of time. A visa lists entry/exit dates, your vital information, passport details and some information about the inviting party. Please note, that your Russian visa is an exit permit just like it’s an entry permit. 

Each country has different visa requirements we cannot list them all here. Most countries should not have a problem.  It is quite straighforward for delegates from Europe, Asia and Latin America.

The organisers shall make every effort to assist applications for visas please see the Refund Policy in the event you fail to obtain a visa. Most invididuals should not have a problem in obtaining a visa.

The dress code for the Course will be casual business attire. Make sure to bring a coat for the cold and an umbrella in case of rain.

ATMs are found everywhere.  Many smaller stores only accept cash. Most restaurants accept credit cards, but we recommend you ask them in advance to avoid surprises.
