New Zealand Society for the Study of Diabetes

Annual Scientific Meeting 2020

Welcome

On behalf of the organising committee it is my pleasure to welcome you to the conference website for the 44th New Zealand Society for the Study of Diabetes Annual Scientific meeting and the Special Interest Group Study Day, to be held 5 - 8, 2020 at Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa, New Zealand.

The meeting promises to be an excellent event where diabetes health professionals, researchers and policy makers can enjoy a stimulating and varied programme, as well as collegial friendship. We have confirmed our keynote speakers Rayaz A. Malik, a Professor of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar and New York. Martin de Bock Paediatric Endocrinologist, University of Otago - Christchurch and Dr Josephine Herman a public health physician and general practitioner and currently holds the role of Secretary for Te Marae Ora Cook Islands Ministry of Health.

We are continuing with the new presenter award categories, with five prizes to be awarded. We encourage you to submit an abstract.

NZSSD gala dinners are always a highlight. The 2020 gala dinner will be held in the beautiful Te Marae Rongomaraeroa.

We look forward to seeing you in Wellington in May.

Kind Regards

Dr Rosemary Hall
NZSSD ASM 2020 Convenor
