Online: The Key Competencies in a Digital World (Y4-8)
“Key Competencies in a Digital World” is brought to you by Te Whai Toi Tangata: Institute of Professional Learning (IPL) at the University of Waikato. The series is fully online, aimed at educators wishing to be more digitally fluent in their professional practice by looking through the lenses of each of the key competencies as described in the New Zealand Curriculum. Tools which support learning in each of these areas will be explored.
This course runs over a seven week period in term two. Each week there will be one module to complete, consisting of readings, practical in-class tasks, an online webinar and an assessment task. This course is best suited for teachers of year 4-8 learners. Places are limited.
To ensure all teachers receive quality professional learning The Institute of Professional Learning reserves the right to amend or cancel session dates in response to enrolment numbers. Registration cancellation requests must be made in writing to firstname.lastname@example.org 10 business days prior to the workshop for a full refund or waiver of payment. Cancellation requests with less than 10 business days notice or in the event of a no show will incur invoicing of the full workshop fee.
