Event Details

The Contemporary Learning Hub is proud to be offering the Play, Wonder & Pixels Online Festival for Early Years Educators.  The program includes sessions that explore effective, research based and innovative strategies for creating high quality P-2 learning environments that engage, support and challenge young learners. Session topics this year cover everything from ways to effectively embed Indigenous Perspectives to how you can contextualise the Reggio Emilia philosophy within your classroom context. The program is also jam packed with ideas for how you can engage, support and challenge your learners as part of literacy, numeracy and STEM based learning experiences.

Every session is recorded and will be available for viewing by participants and participating schools for a twelve month period. Schools who register for the whole school access pass can access each session or recording an unlimited number of times and from an unlimited number of devices. This makes the festival one of the best value professional development experiences on offer to schools.

Please direct any questions about the festival to our Hub Events Logistics Officer Bronwen Stewart on 5490 2755.  We look forward to seeing you online throughout May and June.

Accessing the Festival

In the week prior to the festival, all registered participants and schools will receive an email containing the link and password to the festival site . This site will contain the links and passwords for each of the live and recorded sessions. It will also contain information about how participants can access a test session to test their connection. These test sessions enable our team to support you prior to the festival to ensure there won’t be technical issues when you try to access a live session. All sessions for the festival are recorded so if you miss a session or have a problem connecting, you will be able to watch it on demand.  Recordings are uploaded to the site at the end of each week.   Recordings will be available for twelve months after the festival.  Certificates are provided for each individual webinar and for the entire festival program.

Cancellation Policy

Due to the commitments made contracting presenters for the festival, a 50% cancellation fee is charged for registrations cancelled within two weeks of the festival.   Please note that a 100% cancellation fee is charged once the website and password to access festival content is provided to you or your school.
