The 22510VIC Course Identifying and Responding to Family Violence Risk is an accredited training program with vocational outcomes for a person working in a community services role.

The course outcomes include identifying the presenting risk of family violence and the appropriate response of universal community service professionals.

The Department of Education and Training has funded the development of high-quality online learning and assessment resources for use by Skills First Training providers. These teaching tools have all been validated by a Family Violence Teachers Steering Committee, Family Safety Victoria and the MARAM Expert Advisory Group to ensure the expectations of industry are met.

This session will provide information around the development of these resources, including:

  • How they have been developed
  • Why they have been developed this way
  • What has been included in the development
  • How they can be used to support the delivery of this course. 

Level

Introductory (new to the topic)

Professional learning aimed at practitioners that have a broad theoretical knowledge and practical experience of training and assessment. 

Who can attend?

This 1-hour online information session will provide supporting materials for Skills First providers delivering the Course Identifying and Responding to Family Violence Risk. This program is only for training providers with a 2018-19 Skills First contract (extended to 31 December 2020). Sarah Phillips

Sarah Phillips, Managing Director at Pop Education, manages and consults to a range of VET projects, specialising in the development of courseware for private RTO’s, TAFE, universities and industry in the area of blended training and assessment. Sarah has been working in the VET industry since 2005 and in that time held positions in a range of settings across private, Learn Local and TAFE in the fields of e-learning, learning innovations, workforce development and VET assessment.
