Virtual Workshop - Responding to Disclosure of Family Violence

30th Jul 2020 - 15th Oct 2020
09:00 AM - 01:00 PM
Online via BlackBoard Collaborate

The 2020 Program has now been adapted in response to COVID-19 to be delivered online.

Virtual Workshops:

These online sessions have been adapted from a full day workshop to a 4-hour online virtual workshop by experienced VDC and DVRCV consultants.
These highly interactive virtual workshops will be run in a smaller group, with break out rooms for group discussion and ample opportunity to converse with group members and the facilitator to collaborate, share ideas and insights.
These virtual workshops will also include access to an e-book learning resource for those who attend.

Description

The Victorian Department of Education and Training (DET) has funded the VET Development Centre (VDC) to develop and deliver specific professional learning for Vocational Education and Training (VET) teachers, trainers and assessors.

The VDC and Domestic Violence Resource Centre Victoria (DVRCV) have developed an interactive half-day virtual workshop on responding to disclosure of family violence to strengthen the knowledge, skills and practice of VET teachers, trainers, and assessors to improve the learning environment, experience and outcomes for all VET learners.

This half day virtual workshop will focus on educating VET practitioners on how family violence might impact the learning environment and appropriately support learners who may be experiencing family violence.

*Please note - this online session is a virtual workshop and there will be no recording of the session.
