“The Rise of Mobile Hospitality”

With modern travellers tethered to their mobile device hotels must offer frictionless and customized mobile experiences to drive bookings and loyalty.

Mobility has evolved from being a nice to have to being a must have. Guests have come to expect and demand mobile experiences with many potential hotel guests admitting that a mobile engagement will influence their hotel selection.

According to HT’s 2016 Customer Engagement Technology Study* the following facts came to light:

  • 56% of consumers will be swayed to book a hotel if it offers high tech guestroom features such as mobile key
  • 56% want mobile booking capabilities
  • 48% want a useful easy to use mobile app
  • 41% want personalized relevant and timely deals based upon their location and travel purpose

The link between the hotel and guest becomes more intimate with hotels able to ensure a stress free personalized stay and outstanding guest experience.

Other major trends include the following:

  • Smart Hotels such as Wynn Las Vegas ( 3,700 room ) who are equipping every room with a Amazon Echo Device allowing guest to use voice activation to control functions in room such as lighting , air conditioning TV and even ordering room service . The decision by Steve Wynn to adopt as he call it guests own personal butler is a game changer in my opinion
  • Mobile Payments via an app on the phone
  • Robotics and what role they are going to play moving forward
  • Virtual reality
  • Interactive walls

For the last 5 years Ted's Conference has featured world class speakers, and this year is not different - we have an amazing line up of three outstanding speakers who will address these key trends and provide their opinions on where technology is headed.
We look forward to welcoming you to an exciting and informative morning.
