OBTAINING OF VISA
The organisers shall make every effort to assist applications for visas however Meeting Makers Pty Ltd, Global Variome Ltd and The Human Variome Project will not be held responsible for any problems connected with requirements of authorized agencies at obtaining of visas and realization of customs procedures. If you fail to obtain a visa on-time cancellation procedures will be according to the Refund Policy set out on this Website.
INSURANCE
Delegates shall be regarded in every aspect as carrying their own risk for loss or injury to person or property, including baggage during The Event. We strongly recommend that at the time of booking your travel and tours you take out a travel insurance policy of your choice. The policy taken should include the loss of payments through cancellation of travel, medical insurance, loss or damage to personal property, financial loss incurred through disruptions to accommodation or travel arrangements due to strikes or other industrial action. The policy should also cover you in case of loss of funds in the event that the Variant Effect Prediction Training Course is cancelled or postponed for any reason including force majeure. The organisers shall make every effort to realise The Event. The organisers are in no way responsible for any claims concerning insurance. The Scientific Faculty nor Global Variome Limited, The Human Variome Project or Meeting Makers Pty Ltd will take any responsibility for any participant failing to insure. Please speak to your travel agent or airline in regard to this matter.
DISCLAIMER
The conference organisers reserve the right to change activities, topics and presenters where necessary. The organisers shall not be liable for any loss caused by the cancellation or postponement (change of dates) of The Event where such cancellation is due to Force Majeure. The term "Force Majeure" means any circumstance beyond the reasonable control of the organisers including but not limited to war, hostilities (whether war be declared or not), terrorism, aircraft hijacking, military operation, riot, civil war, rebellion, civil commotion or unrest, any natural disasters including but not limited to volcano eruptions, earthquakes and weather events, acts or regulations of government, outbreaks of disease including but not limited to COVID-19, SARS and MERS, refusal to grant visas, explosions, transport delays, transport difficulties and the insolvency of airline carriers. In the event of Force Majeure the organisers shall monitor the situation and keeping the safety of participants in mind may cancel or postpone The Event. In the case of cancellation or postponement of The Event, registration fees shall be held until the next event is realised, if the attendee is unable to attend at the new date substitution of the attendee with another nominated person is permitted provided it is done no later than one month prior to the new dates of The Event; there shall be no refund. The organisers will use all reasonable efforts to conduct The Event despite the intervention or occurrence of any such cause of Force Majeure provided it is safe and possible to do so.
COURSE CANCELLATION BY YOU & REFUND POLICY
The organisers understand that circumstances can change. At any point prior to The Event you are welcome to contact us in writing to nominate a substitute delegate at no extra charge. A full refund less a €50 service fee will be issued for cancellations received on or before Friday 27th March 2020. Registration cancellations received between Saturday 28th March 2020 and Tuesday 30th June 2020 will receive a 50% refund on the registration fees. No refunds will be issued on or after Wednesday 1st July 2020. Non-payment does not constitute cancellation.

Accommodation booking is made direct with the hotel. We have provided a link to the hotel booking page on our website for your convenience only. Please review their change and cancellation policy at the time of booking. The organisers shall not be held responsible for any loss related to accommodation booking.
