Workshop: Address Non-Compliance in Assessments
QUALITY, COMPLIANCE AND AUDITING
Poor quality assessment is probably the primary compliance issue facing RTOs. This workshop is designed to clarify how assessment tools can be improved.
Find out how to make your assessment tools stronger and complete a formal assessment validation session.
In this hands-on session you will learn the essentials of validation and then conduct a validation of one of your assessment tools. This in-depth validation includes the instructions to assessors and candidates and assessors, all tasks and mapping if you have it, against the unit of competency it assesses.
At the end of the session, you will have evidence that you are effectively validating your assessment tools, and have the skills to validate further tools within your workplace.
Introductory (New to the topic):
These sessions are aimed at practitioners that have a broad theoretical knowledge and practical experience of training and assessment. They operate independently and seek guidance when necessary.
These sessions are for Assessors and assessment designers

To Bring: It is essential that you bring along an assessment tool (instructions to assessors and candidates and assessors, all tasks and mapping if you have it) and the unit of competency it assesses. This will ensure that you get the most out of the workshop and will provide evidence for your RTO that you are effectively validating your assessment tools.
