The Victorian Department of Education and Training (DET) has funded the VET Development Centre (VDC) to coordinate professional learning for Vocational Education and Training (VET) teachers, trainers and assessors delivering family violence related courses. The three workshops are:

MARAM Comprehensive Family Violence Specialist – Renewing Practice from CRAF to MARAM

This learning covers:

The Multi Agency Risk Assessment and Management Framework (MARAM) – Renewing Practice from CRAF to MARAM is a one-day training that focuses on working with victim survivors. This training is for professionals who work in a specialist capacity across the integrated service system.

This session is only suitable for experienced family violence specialists who have extensive experience, and who have previously completed specialist CRAF training level 3.

  • Comprehensive Risk Assessment

  • Child focused practice


This session is for VET trainers and assessors with a Skills First contract or ACFE funding. You can check your eligibility here.
Participants must have experience delivering family violence training content. Trainers must have experience as a family violence specialist and have previously completed CRAF level 3 training.


Participants are required to read the MARAM framework before attending a training module.

If you have not attended a face to face family violence and child information sharing schemes training session you need to complete an e-learn Module 2: Family Violence and Child Information Sharing Schemes, and an Introduction to MARAM:


DVRCV response training is developed and delivered with specialist, direct family violence experience and practice wisdom and our courses cover a range of topics including working with children, family violence and the workplace and tech-facilitated abuse to support victims/survivors of family violence, their family and friends and the professionals who support them for over 30 years.
