The University of Sydney was proud to host the 4th Worldwide Universities Network (WUN) International Conference on Spintronics, on behalf of the WUN Spintronics Consortium, as it came to Australia for the first time this year. At conference new scientific and technological developments in the field of Spintronics were shared and discussed. Read the interview with one of our plenary speakers in The Register press coverage.

WUN-SPIN 2012 featured an innovative program designed for the multi-disciplinary nature of spintronics; attractive to materials scientists, physicists, engineers and students alike. Recent developments in spintronics and associated technologies were discussed in this rapidly growing field of research that has the ability to transform the future design of information technology devices. An inspiring scientific program included plenary sessions, international keynote lectures and a poster session.

WUN-SPIN fosters the exchange of ideas and create a stimulating environment in which to collaborate with like-minded colleagues and to learn from experts in the field. The conference dinner cruise allowed delegates to experience spectacular Sydney and delicious food.

The conference committee would like to thank to all delegates who came from around the world and made this conference such a success.
