SUBMISSIONS

The NZSSD ASM Programme Organising Committee invites you to present original work relating to diabetes at the conference to be held in Hamilton May 2 - 4, 2018. This opportunity to share your research and practice with colleagues is open to members and non-members of the NZSSD – you are welcome to pass the submission details on to colleagues.
The Programme Committee is responsible for the final selection and allocation of abstracts as oral or poster presentations.

CORRESPONDENCE
Receipt of abstracts will be acknowledged by email. Please contact Jan Brosnahan if you do not receive a reply within 48-72 hours of submitting.
Abstract decision: by March 16, 2018.

All ORAL & POSTER presenters must register. Early bird rates close on March 23, 2018. (standard rates apply after that date). Online Registration closes April 23, 2018

Procedure for submission - oral or poster
Free papers should be no more than 300 words, not including title/authors/affiliations, and should be submitted electronically no later than February 23, 2018. Apply here

Details:
Your abstract should be a word document using the following settings:
Calibri font
Font size 10
1.5 line spacing
Justified
Title of paper should be in BOLD CAPITALS.
Name of the presenter should be underlined
Affiliations/institutions should be in italics

The abstract should include:
A concise and explanatory title
Author’s first name, surname & affiliation(s)
Presenter's identity shown by underlining
A brief statement of aims, objectives, methods, results and conclusions (SUBTITLES in bold BUT NOT underlined or italicised)
Tables may be included but must be included in the word count (≤ 300) which will be checked
 

POSTERS
All selected posters should meet the following criteria for display purposes:
Page Set up - Portrait
Print Size - 841mm x 1189mm

Presenters are to bring their poster with them to the conference, they will be directed to the display area and will hang their own poster. Presenters need to supply their own Velcro HOOKS to adhere their posters to the posterboards 6-8 per poster are required.
Presenters are required to present their poster at the scheduled sessions during the programme.

A variety of awards are presented for both oral and poster presenters.
