The historic Apollonian Hotel was constructed in the heyday of the 1870’s Gympie Gold Rush and in 1987 was moved to the picturesque village of Boreen Point on the shores of Lake Cootharaba. The Apollonian also hosts special functions such as weddings, corporate events and club meets.
A variety of functions can be held at the Apollonian Hotel. Most popular are bus groups and weddings; however, corporate lunches can also be arranged. The Apollonian also hosts special functions such as weddings, corporate events and club meets. Functions are held either outdoors beside the Bush Kitchen or, in case of inclement weather, in the Dining Room.
Extremely popular for functions is the Apollonian’s famous spit roasts, especially enjoyable on a fine spring or autumn evening and this is often the choice for wedding receptions.
A common kitchen is available for tea & coffee – it hosts a fridge, kettle and toaster. All tap water is bore with drinking water from the rain water tank in containers provided. The Hotel can do breakfast on request but must be sorted out the night before.
