Welcome to the Canberra Carotel; a family owned and operated business established in 1964. Whether you’re attending an event in Canberra, going on a family holiday, or leading a sporting or school excursion, the Canberra Carotel is an excellent budget accommodation choice. Situated on an undulating 20 acres of land at the base of Mount Majura, the Canberra Carotel is just seven (7) kilometres north of Canberra’s city centre and in close proximity to many major venues and attractions.

The Canberra Carotel is designed to meet our customers’ high expectations of accessibility, convenience and openness. With Bungalows, Cabins, Villas and Lodges, including 8 recently added cabins and ongoing refurbishments, the Canberra Carotel offers a multitude of accommodation options. We specialise in group bookings and can cater to your every need.

Our staff at reception are happy to help you with all your requirements and enquiries. We have a fully licensed shop at reception, stocking a range of food, beverages, ice, tourist information and toiletry requirements. We also offer a guest safe for your valuables, and have cots, irons and ironing boards available.At the Carotel we have a large outdoor salt water swimming pool and children’s wading pool. Our pool closes at 9.00pm and is closed during the off season. Kangaroos regularly feed on the grounds during the early morning and late evening. Our chef prepares all meals on site, fresh daily. We are able to offer a variety of meals, including breakfast, lunch and dinner. Our chef will attempt to meet special dietary requirements and our facility is Halal Certified.

The multi-function room contains internal bathroom facilities and a domestic style kitchen for self catering. Alternatively we can cater for you, if your group is 20 or more. All tables and chairs provided along with crockery and cutlery.
