pened in April 2011, Wildman Wilderness Lodge is situated on the beautiful Mary River Wetlands - around half way between Darwin and Kakadu - and offers travellers the opportunity to explore this amazing region while staying in a choice of stylish eco lodge and safari tent accommodation.

Wildman is a small-scale, high quality safari lodge featuring a variety of boutique and environmentally sensitive touring options, including tours of Kakadu National Park and cruising on the Mary River. Its teeming wildlife and unique tours a world far removed from your own, yet with all the modern comforts of great accommodation, delicious meals and wine to enjoy at the end of each day.

The cabin verandas and awnings were removed and the cabin structures lifted onto the back of semi trailers. The central bar and restaurant facility was dismantled piece by piece - with around 70% of it saved for the move. Two staff accommodation units were also packed up. Power generators, the water treatment system and the sewage treatment system along with key electrical infrastructure were also dismantled and readied for the journey. Water tanks have been sold to local station owners with new tanks being purchased for Wildman.18 triple road trains transported the entirely dismantled infrastructure 2800km across country to a warehouse in Darwin where it currently sits under tarpaulins waiting for the last of the wet season to finish, so that construction can commence in earnest.

Wildman Wilderness Lodge comprises of a central lodge, 10 cabins and 15 Safari Tents, the whole forming a quietly luxurious escape amidst an awe-inspiring environment. The Habitats and Safari tents come with an array of comforts to make staying at Wildman Wilderness Lodge as comfortable as possible. Epitomising luxury on the wetlands is the infinity pool, a cool oasis in the Northern Territory sun.

The restaurant at Wildman Wilderness Lodge offers a unique dining experience, overlooking the beautiful Mary River National Park. The menu celebrates the best of the region, infusing Australian seasonal produce with traditional delicacies from the local culture. Enjoy breakfast as the day unfolds, let lunch bring a cool reprieve from the midday sun and take in sunset over a sumptuous 3-course dinner. Refreshing drinks and delicious cocktails are served all day, quenching any time and by the poolside.
