The Waterloo Bay Hotel was one of the first significant buildings to be constructed in the Wynnum area. It is closely associated with the establishment of the railway line from Brisbane to Moreton Bay and the subsequent evolution of Wynnum as a popular seaside resort.

The original section of the now heritage listed building was constructed in 1889 by local stonemason Mr George Gibbs and for the last 125 years The Waterloo Bay Hotel has played a major role in the social activities of the Wynnum and surrounding communities.

The current owners are committed to protecting the proud history of the Waterloo Bay Hotel and continue to provide the highest level of service and amenity to our customers.
