El Camino Cantina Manly promises an unrivalled line-up of Tex-Mex treats, including complimentary and unlimited tortilla chips and fresh salsas, over 20 types of street tacos, sizzling steak, chicken and prawn fajitas, Buffalo hot wings, nachos and fresh, hand-made tortillas; enormous classic and frozen Margaritas, local, regional and Mexican draught and bottled beers and over 100 tequilas and mezcals, and great music – an eclectic mix of rock n’ roll, alternative, pop, dance, rap and RnB beats. Located on the newly built, level 1 of Manly Wharf, next to Saké Restaurant & Bar (also opening in early November 2018), El Camino Cantina features all the hallmarks of Texan meets Mexican interior design, including the signature funky touches of Tex-Mex flair that adorn its sister restaurant and bar in The Rocks. There are dozens of neon lights and signage, custom-designed flame artwork, rock n’roll and muscle car inspired decorative touches and colourful, life-size wall motifs. Guests enter via steps leading from the street level of Manly Wharf. One huge room is decorated with bold furnishings, bright colours and fluorescent lights, which flawlessly fuse with traditional Mexican finishes to create a fun, casual and unashamedly quirky space with a festive Tex-Mex vibe. El Camino Cantina’s pieza de resistencia is a 100-seat outdoor terrace with sweeping ocean views – perfect for happy hour, long weekend lunches, boozy brunches and Margarita-inspired sunset soirées.
