At Rockpool Dining Group’s first dedicated event space, Alfred Place Melbourne, the dining options are extensive. The menus are overseen by the group’s Culinary and Brand Director Neil Perry, and bring the same commitment to sustainable produce and progressive approach to food evident in all Rockpool Dining Group restaurants.

Guests can select from an array of menus from Rockpool Dining Group’s top restaurants. Seated dining menu options include the premium Rockpool Bar & Grill and Rosetta Ristorante menus, along with a new Woodfire Rosetta family sharing menu for something more casual. Additionally, guests hosting a cocktail event can further select from Spice Temple and Sake Restaurant & Bar.

As part of the larger Rockpool Dining Group, we also have canape options from our sister restaurants Spice Temple and Saké Restaurant & Bar.

Alfred Place offers three dedicated events spaces - The Quarters, The Ballroom & The Library. Please speak with your Event Manager to discuss the most appropriate area for your party.
We understand your guests may have dietary requirements and we endeavor to do our very best to accommodate these. We kindly ask, that all dietary requirements are communicated to us as soon as possible for our kitchen team to offer alternative options.
No, we are a fully licensed venue, therefore we do not allow BYO.
Yes, a set menu is required for all Events at Alfred Place regardless of which restaurant you have selected for your menu. We offer a selection of 2, 3 or 4 Course Set Menus as well as an extensive canape menu for cocktail style events.
A set menu is implemented to ensure the highest quality of food and service for larger parties.
Alfred Place offers both drinks on consumption and beverage packages. When opting for beverages on consumption, we recommend pre-selecting a range of beverages for your guests in advance from our extensive beverage list. Our standard recommendation is:

2 x White Wine
2 x Red Wine
3 x Beers
Yes, weddings at Alfred Place are offered exclusive use of our beautiful Ballroom and adjoining Library Bar, along with the breath-taking Vestibule, where a number of couples are choosing to hold their ceremony.

Alfred Place is managed by our Melbourne Premium Restaurant and Events Team, who provide a wealth of knowledge and experience from working in Neil Perry's restaurants for over 12 years. As part of our wedding offering at Alfred Place, you will have access to the best event planners in the industry, a food, beverage and service team like no other, in one of Melbourne's most exquisite wedding venues.
Yes, you may. Additonally, the Rockpool Dining Group Events Team can provide you with contacts to assist you with visually styling your event. Kindly note all decorations excluding floral arrangements are restricted to private dining rooms and exclusive events only.

Please note we do not allow glitter, confetti or any decorations of offence.
Children are welcome to attend private events. Please note all minors must be accompanied by their legal parent or guardian and are required to vacate the venue by 10pm.
We offer beautiful cakes and desserts, however you are able to bring in your own cake. Please note, should you wish to provide your own cake, a cakeage fee will apply.
Yes, Alfred Place has both disabled access and facilities.
We are able to hold Alfred Place for a maximum of 24 hours as it is a live booking system. For larger events please speak to one of our Event Managers - this is dependent on other incoming enquiries and the timeframe of the event.
Alfred Place does not have any onsite TVs or microphones. However, we have teamed up with professional third party suppliers who are able to deliver every AV need for your event. Please note, AV may only be used in private spaces or when the venue has been hired exclusively.
A room hire fee is subject to the venue and is event specific. A room hire fee and/or minimum spends will be provided upon quoting.
A minimum spend is the amount that must be met on food and beverage purchases. It includes staffing costs. If, at the conclusion of your Event the minimum spend has not been met, the final bill will be rounded up to reach this amount accordingly. The deficit is payable on the day of and immediately after the conclusion of the Event, by cash or credit card. Additional costs such as Service Charge, theming, security, AV etc is not included in the minimum spend.
A Service Charge is applicable on all groups of 10 guests or more. Please note, this is industry standard.
Metered street parking is available. However, given the central location of Alfred Place there is no on-site parking available.

Alfred Place's central location means that we are easily accessible by public transport. Collins Street tram stops are conveniently located directly at the entrance to Alfred Place laneway and Parliament Station 500m away.
Yes, a 15% public holiday surcharge applies across all Rockpool Dining Group venues.
