Rydges Melbourne takes its function venues seriously, dedicating the complete first floor to social soirees, and productive business and board meetings. Our Melbourne function venues and accommodation offer modern amenities in stylish settings. Our location in Melbourne CBD at the heart of the theatre district puts Her Majesty’s Theatre, the Princess Theatre, Comedy Theatre, Athenaeum and the Regent Theatre all moments away. Our Melbourne conference venues boast large tinted windows to allow breathtaking views of the city surrounds. Five pillarless function rooms can be configured to suit any size group. All spaces feature soundproof dividing walls, individually controlled air conditioning and lighting, data points and FREE WI-FI. With names such as Chicago, Chorus Line, Phantom and Carousel, all of our Melbourne function rooms with flexible space are named after Broadway musical classics, paying tribute to Rydges Melbourne’s theatrical neighbours.

Bobby's is more than an events venue - it is an exclusive entertainment venue with a difference! The venue has a capacity of 500 people, with three bars, Beach, Roxy and Mobil - all themed. Bobby's ticks all the boxes, ample car parking (located under Rydges Melbourne hotel), 3 private entries, green rooms, accommodation, disabled access, amphitheatre style dance floor with state of the art lighting & a sensational sound system flexible enough to provide whatever live music it is you desire. With a 3am licence to party the night away, alfresco smoking area, large cloak room & optional chill out room, Bobby McGee's has your next wow! Event covered.

If you are planning a dinner or cocktail party, the Locanda Private Dining Room is ideal. This room is sectioned off from the main restaurant by our outstanding floor to ceiling glass wine cellars.

The space holds up to 60 people for sit down dinners and up to 80 for a stand up cocktail event.

The Private Dining Room can be set up in a number of configurations and offers views out on to Little Bourke Street and across to the stunning Her Majesty's Theatre.
