The Grace Darling Hotel is an ornate 19th-century pub with a focus on locally produced beer and food, plus live indie bands.

In this historic building’s latest rebirth, the venue now comprises of a restaurant, public bar, and two band rooms available for private functions. The restaurant delivers a sophisticated interpretation of classic pub food with rotating seasonal specials and the concise selection of wine, beer and spirits, like the menu, highlights local merchants of fine produce.

The public bar and sidewalk beer garden continues to house a diversity of mingling locals, artists and professionals, offering comfort and privacy for both intimate encounters and group gatherings, while the band room has transformed into a mainstay on the local live music circuit producing a roster of emerging acts.

Beyond the bar lies a cozy den covered in gilded galleon-themed wallpaper, where worn chesterfields surrounding open fireplaces and large communal tables provide both intimate nooks and casual group ambience.

Comprising of two main dining areas and two private function areas, The Grace Darling offers a friendly pub dining experience for all occasions and tastes.

The sunken plant filled atrium provides a lush candlelit sanctuary, perfect for an intimate gathering or special event. The upper deck overseeing the open kitchen offers a lively backdrop for a more casual experience within the heart of the venue.
We offer a sit down banquet style menu for larger groups.

The Grace Darling’s private functions and events are held in the basement cellar or upstairs band room. It offering a range of beverage packages and canape platters, and with full music capabilities, each event can be individually tailored to ensure your celebration or corporate function is memorable and exceptionally executed.

The Band Room is the perfect space for large or small conferences or group meetings. It can accommodate a table of up to 40 guests boardroom style or 100 theatre style seating. Full day or half day packages can be tailored to meet your business needs whicln includes access to projector facilities, wireless internet and in house sound system included. We can also arrange all other audio/visual requirements.
