Wangi District Workers' Club is a community based licensed club, located on the Lake Macquarie foreshore, on the outskirts of Wangi Wangi township at 11 Market Street Wangi Wangi 2267. Wangi Bay - that portion of the lake which the club overlooks - is a haven for marine craft, with a large number of moorings established. An easy walk from the club along the foreshore is Dobell House - the former residence of renowned artist Sir William Dobell - now open to the public as a Museum and personal tribute to the late Sir William.

The focal area of the club is a well appointed lounge, in close proximity to the bar and associated gaming services. Patrons enjoy spectacular views across Wangi Bay and Lake Macquarie to Marks Point and Swansea (on the eastern shoreline). The Lounge features a variety of monitors for coverage of television programmes (both free-to-air and pay-TV), Keno results and internal club activity.

Patrons have access to the full range of club gaming facilities, with modern equipment and services. TAB and club KENO terminals are closely located to the Sports Lounge, where comprehensive coverage is available of race statistics, live coverage of racing and other sporting events, and Keno draws.

The Dobell Room commands excellent waterfront locations within the club, giving magnificent Lake views, and idyllic settings for that special occasion. This room is able to accommodate approximately 80 people for private functions.

From the auditorium you can enjoy spectacular views across Wangi Bay and Lake Macquarie to Marks Point and Swansea. From 80 up to 200 people can be accommodated. The room features an elevated stage and a well sized parquetry dance floor. A self-contained bar is available to service your function with a food preparation and servery area. Club Catering services have various menus to select from or they can provide a customised menu to suit specific functions from finger food, smorgasbord or set menu options.

The club engages contract caterers to run the Bistro and dining facilities. The Bistro features a wide selection of both Australian and Chinese cuisine, (chinese cuisine not available Mondays) at competitive prices. The adjacent Dobell Room is available for private functions, but also serves to accommodate Bistro overflow, or larger groups. If required, group reservations in the Bistro-Dobell Room are available.

Club catering services can provide customised menu selections to suit specific functions, on an extremely flexible basis - from morning / afternoon teas to light finger food, smorgasbord or set-menu options.
