The Junction Beer Hall and Wine Room have a variety of beautiful and truly versatile spaces available for hire, whether it is for exclusive or shared use. With its versatility the Junction can cater to all manner of intimate to large- scale functions and events. The Venue has 2 separate functions areas - Grindlays and The Wine Room, each differ in style and atmosphere and can be tailored to suit any function and your needs. It’s the perfect destination for any social or corporate celebration.

Grindlays is an industrial, organic and flexible space accommodating group sizes from 20 to 150 guests.  Grindlays can be used exclusively for your function or indivdual areas throughout the space can be reserved. Should you be looking to incorporate an outdoor dimension to your experience, a section of the Beer Garden can be incorporated at your request. Choose from our outstanding range of catering options including canapes, sit down set menus & wood fired meat plates. From birthdays, engagements and wedding celebrations to presentations and training sessions the space can be adapted to suit.

The Wine Room offers an elegant and sophisticated space for your function. The area can be hired out exclusively through the day and offers the choice of a sit down menu or canapes. The room offers an extensive wine list and sophisticated cocktails in an intimate environment. The Wine Room is ideal for engagements, birthdays, christenings, staff parties and much more.

Yes
We do not charge a fee for the use of the room. If you would like exclusive use Grindlays we require a minimum food and beverage spend. If you have agreed to a shared space there is no minimum.
If you have committed to using the space exclusively, we have a Mic and projector available for hire. This needs to be requested prior to the event.
If you are sharing the room - unfortunately not as this interferes with the enjoyment of other guests.
You are able to bring a small amount of decorations as long as they are restricted to the area of your function.
If you have exclusive use of the venue the short answer is yes. You will need to organise the band and be responsible for all costs involved. This will include providing security for the evening as per our liquor licence. The band will need to be able to provide all their own equipment.
If you have exclusive use of Grindlays you are able to connect your iPod to our sound system. Management will have final say over content and volume, no offensive material will be played.
We have many vegetarian and gluten free items on our menus. If we are advised in advance we are able to cater for other dietary requirements.
You are able to bring a small cake to celebrate the birthday. If you want to bring a cake for consumption in the venue we will charge a cakeage of $2.50 per guest. By providing a cake we effectively miss out on the opportunity to offer an entire course to all of your guests. The charge is in order to provide storage, presentation, cutting and general handling of your cake.
We are a child friendly venue while our kitchen is still open, later in the evening the bar is not a suitable place for children. Any children will need to be supervised at all times and are restricted to the area that has been allocated to your function. The Beer Garden is a licenced area and is not a playground.
