Juanita’s Bar
Juanita’s Bar is named after one of Victoria Streets most famous former residents, journalist Juanita Nielsen. Juanita’s determination through activism against greedy developers in the 70’s saved the very building The Butler and Juanita’s now calls home, along with the historic terraces next door from demolition. Sitting at street level, the bar is a private nook to enjoy bar snacks and cocktails, pre-dining drinks or to hire exclusively for events up to 25 people cocktail style. The bar adjoins to the mezzanine balcony that overlooks the dining room and has views of the city skyline. The menu follows suit of The Butler and dishes up Ibero-American bar food, accompanied with seasonal cocktails and a carefully selected wine list. The interior is made up of sandstone walls, fresh timber, rattan finishes and a fireplace, complimented with abundant tropical plants.

The venue plays host to a colonial-inspired dining room with botanical wallpaper, high ceilings, wicker furniture, plantation ceiling fans and a covered terrace full of greenery that overlooks a stunning view of the city skyline. A contemporary Ibero American influenced menu graces the palette. The Butler can hold up to 150 standing and 110 seated across the dining room and terrace, and hosts many varieties of events from intimate to large including media events, product launches, corporate events, birthdays, hen parties and weddings.
The Dining Room
The colonial-inspired dining room is an impressive space located down stairs at the venue. The room features high ceilings, botanical wallpaper, luxurious banquette seating, plantation ceiling fans and a stunning gold framed bar. The Sydney city skyline can be viewed from inside through the floor to ceiling, wall to wall glass doors that lead our the The Terrace. The open plan restaurant and flexible seating allows the space to be booked exclusively for up to 75 guests, seated on scattered tables accommodating 6-10 people per table.
Terrace
The Terrace is a tropical oasis with panoramic views of Sydney's city skyline. Adorned with an abundance of plants, the greenery surrounds wooden tables and wicker chairs, framing the alfresco dining experience. The space is fully covered inclusive of drop-down blinds and fitted with fans & heaters, perfect to cater for all seasons & weather conditions. The Terrace is proudly the crown jewel of The Butler, a hidden gem perfect to impress guests at your next event.
