Session 2: The New NES

Experience in operating within the fair work system used to count for a lot, but an overwhelming amount of change has occurred over the last 12 months. Leaders relying on their understanding of the Fair Work Act 2009 from before 2023 may find that their knowledge is already very much out of date.

In our Fair work checkup series 2024, EMA Consulting takes a closer look at specific areas of interest to help you update your knowledge for 2024 and beyond.

This series is free to attend.

Session 2 is a closer look at the areas of the NES that have undergone an overhaul.

This session will be an in-person networking session (Adelaide CBD). Registration is essential as seats are limited.

We will review the new rules that significantly alter the NES, including:

  • Parental leave
  • Casual employment
  • Contractors
  • Superannuation

We will highlight and dissect the key changes to help you plan for what knowledge or processes need to be updated internally. Attend this session for takeaways for the practical implications and actions for your change management plan. This will include policies and procedures, implications for payroll rules, existing and new enterprise agreements.

There will be opportunity for Q&A on the day, or feel free to submit questions in advance.  Attendees are warmly invited to share in complimentary morning tea and networking following the event.
