Workshop Objective: Drawing on the vast experience of the presenters who will be joining us, this workshop focuses on the role of hope in sustaining ourselves in a career of climate change adaptation, and how that directly impacts the way we work with stakeholders and traditional owners. The sessions will focus on how to remain hopeful in a time of crisis, practicing cultural awareness in a constructive, empowering manner and building an impactful career in climate change adaptation.

Smoking Ceremony (Optional)
Location: Langley Park, ‘Area 2’ between Hill Street and Burt Way
A smoking ceremony is a traditional cleansing ceremony to bring good spirits and energy to a place or people.
In this ancient ceremony, native plants are used to create a sacred smoke that has cleansing properties among other uses.
•• This session is optional, we will conduct an official Welcome to Country ceremony at the beginning of conference ••
