TERMS & CONDITIONS

To register for The Event you must agree to the Terms and Conditions as set out below when prompted during registration.


CODE OF CONDUCT

By attending, participants are agreeing to follow this Code of Conduct.

Our event will present opportunities to learn, share knowledge and network. We believe the event should represent a safe, enjoyable and inclusive environment for all people, irrespective of gender, race, ethnicity, age, sexuality, religion, disability, socio-economic background, experience, size, shape and so on. No one should be subject to any harassment, bullying or abuse. Any such behaviour will not be tolerated and we will take such action as we deem necessary to ensure it does not reoccur. This may include immediate removal from the virtual event and a prohibition from attending future events. This Code of Conduct explains exactly what we mean by unacceptable behaviour. PRIVACY POLICY


You may view our Privacy Policy HERE. Our privacy policy shows you how and where we use your data. It is necessary to collect data from you to register you for this event we do not use it for any other purpose. By registering for this event you are agreeing to our privacy policy.


INSURANCE

Delegates shall be regarded in every aspect as carrying their own risk for loss or injury to person or property, including baggage during The Event. We strongly recommend that at the time of booking your travel you take out a travel insurance policy of your choice. The policy taken should include the loss of payments through cancellation of travel, medical insurance, loss or damage to personal property, financial loss incurred through disruptions to accommodation or travel arrangements due to border closures, strikes or other industrial action. The policy should also cover you in case of loss of funds in the event that the FAC 2022 Conference is cancelled or postponed for any reason including Force Majeure. The organisers shall make every effort to realise The Event. The organisers are in no way responsible for any claims concerning insurance. The organisers are in no way responsible for any claims concerning insurance. The Scientific Faculty nor kConFab, The Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, or Meeting Makers Pty Ltd will take any responsibility whatsoever for any participant failing to insure. Please speak to your travel agent or airline in regard to this matter.

 

POLICY REGARDING THE EVENT BEING IMPACTED BY COVID-19

The organising committee recognises that the COVID-19 pandemic may require changes to the event, or result in the inability of some participants being able to travel to NSW. In the event of this occurrence, the committee will put in place alternate arrangements; these will include the virtual delivery of plenary sessions and workshops during the published conference dates. A partial refund to delegates who are unable to attend due to the COVID circumstances in their own state or in NSW may be made, however full registration will not be refunded as the FAC conference will have incurred various expenses to organise this event.

 


DISCLAIMER

The meeting organisers reserve the right to change activities, topics and presenters where necessary. The organisers shall not be held liable for any loss of travel, accommodation or any other loss caused by the cancellation or postponement (change of dates) of The Event where such cancellation is due to Force Majeure. The term "Force Majeure" means any circumstance beyond the reasonable control of the organisers including but not limited to a damaged or unsafe venue, war, hostilities (whether war be declared or not), terrorism, aircraft hijacking, military operation, riot, civil war, rebellion, civil commotion or unrest, any natural disasters, weather events, acts or regulations of government, outbreaks of disease (including a pandemic such as COVID-19), explosions, transport delays, transport difficulties and the insolvency of airline carriers. In the event of Force Majeure the organisers shall monitor the situation and may modify the organisation of The Event. The organisers will use all reasonable efforts to conduct The Event despite the intervention or occurrence of any such cause of Force Majeure provided it is safe and possible to do so. If the event is unable to take place as an in-person event on the scheduled dates, a virtual event shall take place on the scheduled dates. A partial refund will be returned to participants, however full registration will not be refunded.



CONFERENCE CANCELLATION BY YOU & REFUND POLICY

The organisers understand that circumstances can change. At any point prior to the The Event you are welcome to contact us in writing to nominate a substitute delegate at no extra charge.  There shall be no changes allowed 7 days prior to The Event.

If you are unable to attend and cannot provide a substitute, there shall be no refund.

Non-payment does not constitute cancellation.
