POLICY REGARDING THE EVENT BEING IMPACTED BY COVID-19
The organising committee recognises that the COVID-19 pandemic may require changes to the event, or result in the inability of some participants being able to travel to NSW. In the event of this occurrence, the committee will put in place alternate arrangements; these will include the virtual delivery of plenary sessions and workshops during the published conference dates. A partial refund to delegates who are unable to attend due to the COVID circumstances in their own state or in NSW may be made, however full registration will not be refunded as the FAC conference will have incurred various expenses to organise this event.
The meeting organisers reserve the right to change activities, topics and presenters where necessary. The organisers shall not be held liable for any loss of travel, accommodation or any other loss caused by the cancellation or postponement (change of dates) of The Event where such cancellation is due to Force Majeure. The term "Force Majeure" means any circumstance beyond the reasonable control of the organisers including but not limited to a damaged or unsafe venue, war, hostilities (whether war be declared or not), terrorism, aircraft hijacking, military operation, riot, civil war, rebellion, civil commotion or unrest, any natural disasters, weather events, acts or regulations of government, outbreaks of disease (including a pandemic such as COVID-19), explosions, transport delays, transport difficulties and the insolvency of airline carriers. The organisers will use all reasonable efforts to conduct The Event despite the intervention or occurrence of any such cause of Force Majeure provided it is safe and possible to do so. If the event is unable to take place as an in-person event on the scheduled dates, a virtual event shall take place on the scheduled dates. A partial refund will be returned to participants, however full registration will not be refunded.
