After 3 years of being wonderfully hosted in Te Whanganui-a-Tara Wellington the NZSSD ASM is moving to Ōtautahi Christchurch for 2024 to be held at the Te Pae Convention Centre.
The meeting promises to be another excellent event where you as Aotearoa's leading diabetes health professionals, researchers, industry representatives and policy makers can enjoy a stimulating and varied programme, as well as collegial friendship.
In 2024 we are bringing the Wednesday SIG group meetings back to the main venue.
Thursday morning will see hosted industry workshops/symposia, where you will have the opportunity to be updated on the new technology and products being used to manage Diabetes in this new tech era.
The main meeting will also follow the format of previous years - a single stream session with submitted abstracts being presented as oral presentations, oral posters, and electronic posters.
Social functions are an integral part of the conference; our ASM industry soiree will be held with the industry exhibition area on Thursday 2 May, our gala dinner will be held on Friday 3 May in the Waitaki Room at Te Pae. The 2024 theme is "1974 Sporting" – 2024 is 50 years since Commonwealth Games were held in Christchurch.
Changes are a occurring within our health sector and attending the NZSSD ASM is a integral way for you to stay updated, educated and included.
We look forward to welcoming you to Ōtautahi Christchurch next May.
