The Water Rat menu celebrates locally sourced seasonal produce, utilising innovative and classic cooking techniques, complemented by, in our opinion, Melbourne’s most appealing and price friendly wine list. The Water Rat can cater for large and small groups for meetings, seminars and product launches as well as parties, private BBQ’s and all other celebrations. The water rat function rooms have been specifically designed to cater for a variety of uses. Our function rooms can be opened up to one large room or partitioned off to form three separate function spaces. All rooms are extremely flexible and can be set up into a variety of formations to cater to your specific needs.
Our large first floor deck and dedicated bar area is perfect for a relaxed afternoon session with friends overlooking the CBD. With a private dining room for up to 12 people, a function area that can be configured to suit anything from a small corporate break out to a cocktail party for up to 250 people, the Water Rat will help make your functions memorable.
The Water Rat menu is simple: fresh, quality, consistent, locally sourced. Melbourne’s bold seasons contribute to our food offering by emphasising the finest & freshest local produce, with a hint of authentic Italian flavours and cooking techniques. We pride ourselves on dry aged grass fed beef, sustainable seafood, locally sourced artisan meats, small goods & breads, as well as house made preserves, sauces, focaccia, terrines & desserts.
The Water Rat wine list is heavily influenced by some of Australia’s iconic vineyards, with our pricing unheard of in today’s wining and dining world. From the Barossa to Reims, Margaret River to Marlborough, and the Yarra Valley to Abruzzo, the Water Rat will have something for you no matter where you look or what your palate desires.
