ABSTRACT SUBMISSIONS 2025
The programme committee of the New Zealand Wound Care Society (NZWCS) is pleased to invite you to submit your abstract for consideration at the 2025 NZWCS Conference, to be held in Hamilton on 14 – 16 October. We are seeking original research, clinical studies, and practice innovations in the field of wound care to be shared with an audience of professionals dedicated to advancing the science and practice of wound care.
We encourage both members and non-members of the NZWCS to submit abstracts, and we look forward to the opportunity to showcase the wealth of knowledge and experience in our community.

Important Dates:
Submissions Open – 1 May 2025
Submissions Close – 1 August 2025
Notification of Committee’s decision – 14 August 2025
Presentation date and time confirmed – 1 September 2025
The Conference Committee is responsible for the final selection and allocation of abstracts as oral or poster presentations.
Presentation Types:
Submissions are open for Oral Presentations only:
An Oral Presentation Research or Case study will be for 10 minutes with an additional 5 minutes for questions.
Procedure for submission.
• Abstracts should be no more than 250 words, not including title/authors/affiliations, but including tables.
• Submitters must use the provided word document template downloaded in the submission process.
• Your email subject line should read: Abstract – Author’s name followed by short abstract title e.g. – “Abstract – Williams – Debridement ….”
• The presenting author must register as a participant for the conference for at least the day of their presentation.
• If you wish to withdraw or have an alternative presenter, please notify us by EMAIL.
• If you are using patient identifying information, such as photos, a copy of the NZWCS ‘Presenters Consent Form’ must be emailed using the button below.
• If you do not want your presentation to be available on the NZWCS website, please advise by EMAIL
The abstract should include:
• Title of Paper should be concise and explanatory; write the title in bold
• Author/s first name and last name
• Name of presenter should be underlined
• Affiliation/organisation should be in Italics
• A brief statement of aims, objectives, methods, results, and conclusions
• Tables may be included but must be included in the word count which will be checked.
Receipt of abstracts will be acknowledged by automatic email, if you do not receive this first check your junk mail, second your submission HAS NOT been successful Please resubmit. If you have not received the confirmation email, please contact us within 24h of submitting.
