Monday 2 and Tuesday 3 July 2018

More than 350 attendees from across the state, including a delegation from Aotearoa (New Zealand), participated in the Department of Education’s Indigenous Education Conference, entitled Excellence through innovation, in Brisbane from 2 to 3 July.

The two-day event attracted educators, who are all committed to improving learning outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.

The conference provided a great opportunity for educators to network, share, challenge and be inspired.
In addition to the inspiring keynotes, presented by Professor Kerry Arabena, Alexis Wright and Professor Russell Bishop, and highly relevant breakout sessions, delegates were entertained by the talented performers from the Aboriginal Centre for Performing Arts at the special Networking Dinner.

Thanks to QUT, Queensland Teachers’ Union, Griffith University, Autism Queensland, AV Media Systems, Blake Education, BW Promotions, Neopost, QSuper, RemServ and TUH for their support in presenting the conference.
