Submission Overview and Themes

  • Each researcher can submit more than one abstract. By submitting an abstract, you are agreeing to prepare and present an e-Poster during the Research Week program. This means that multiple abstract submissions will require multiple e-Poster presentations.
  • Due to the virtual nature of the conference, we are only accepting Electronic Posters in PDF format. You will receive instructions on how to upload your poster in a separate email when you receive the notification in early July. The poster submission deadline will be on the last Friday of July.
  • Presentation types include E-Poster only, or E-Poster and Oral Presentations. Best Poster Awards and Best Oral Presentation Awards are available.
  • Please select the appropriate presentation type and themes (Research Discipline, Research Specialisation, and Investigator Category) to be scored under the desired categories.

Presentation types – choose one under the Type selection menu on the e-submission form.

  •      E-Poster only
  •      E-Poster AND Oral Presentations

All abstract submitted will need to be presented on an e-Poster in the Research Week.

If you prefer to present solely an e-Poster, choose "E-Poster only". Note that if your abstract is the highest-scoring in your discipline, you'll be invited to present your e-Poster at the in-person Opening Ceremony. While no award is given for best abstracts, the top two in each discipline will have this opportunity, with no judging involved.

If you wish to opt for presenting an oral presentation, please select e-Poster and Oral Presentations. Top scoring abstracts will be selected to present orally, either at the Senior, Junior or Moderated Oral Poster Presentation Session during Research Week.

Research Discipline - choose one under the Theme 1 selection menu on the e-submission form.

       Discipline 1: Allied Health
       Discipline 2: Basic Science
