Where will the conference be held?

What time does the conference start & end?

  • Friday 26th May 2017
  • Registration Opens 8.00 am
  • Meeting Begins 9.00 am
  • Meeting Ends 5.00 pm


What is included in my conference registration fee?

Conference Registration Includes:

  • Attendance at all conference sessions
  • Conference handbook
  • Pre- meeting refreshments, coffee breaks, lunch


Is this included as part ot the ESHG meeting?

No, you must purchase a separate registration fee for this meeting. This is a separate Society and venue hire and other administrative costs to host the meeting will be paid by the Human Genome Variation Society not the ESHG.


How do I register for the conference?

Registrations are accepted via the Registration Section on the Homepage.

 

What is the Abstract Closing Date?

Extended to 15th April 2017.



What is the Earlybird Registration Deadline? 

26th April 2017.


What is the cut-off date to register for this Conference?

Pre-registration is advised to secure your place, however you may try to register onsite for a higher fee however we cannot guarantee you a place if space is not available. We have turned people away at prevous conferences many times in the past.


I need to cancel, is there a cancellation policy?

  • Cancellation of Registrations received up to 31st March 2017 will be eligible for a full refund, less a $20 Administration Fee.
  • Cancellations of Registrations received after 31st March 2017 will be 100% NON-REFUNDABLE.
  • You may TRANSFER your registration to another person provided you have contacted the secretariat BEFORE the meeting to arrange this.

Do I need to wear a name badge?

Your name badge is your entry to the HGVS Conference 2017; your badge also helps your security at the conference so we can ensure only people who are supposed to be there gain entry so please wear it. The ESHG name badge is NOT ACCEPTABLE as this is a separate meeting.


Do I need personal insurance?

Delegates shall be regarded in every aspect as carrying their own risk for loss or injury to person or property, including baggage during the conference. We strongly recommend that at the time of booking your travel you take out a travel insurance policy of your choice. The policy taken should include the loss of deposit through cancellation, medical insurance, loss or damage to personal property, financial loss incurred through disruptions to accommodation or travel arrangements due to strikes or other industrial action. The organisers are in no way responsible for any claims concerning insurance.
