Registration

Registration Includes:

  • Morning and afternoon tea each day during the conference
  • Lunch each day during the conference
  • Two buffet dinners
  • Conference dinner
  • Entry to all sessions and conference facilities
  • Opportunity to submit abstracts and present an oral or poster presentation

Bursaries

A number of bursaries that cover registration and accommodation are available for students from countries defined as Least developed countries/Low income countries/Lower middle income countries and territories as defined by the OECD list below. 

If you wish to apply for one of these bursaries, please email Prof Gary Hime (g.hime [AT] unimelb.edu.au) by 5.00 pm AEST 10th April 2023 and in less than 250 words indicate how you will benefit from attending the APDRC conference and why you should be considered for this award.

Please apply for the bursary first (and NOT register), you will be notified by 14th April. If successful, we will cover the cost of your registration and accommodation, otherwise, you can still register at the early bird rate.

Payment Options

IMPORTANT

The reduced registration fee is only applicable, if it has also been paid to the event account according to the deadlines. Registering without performing an actual payment will automatically set your balance to the next available fee when the Earlybird date has passed.

Payments may be made by:

  • Credit Card (VISA & Mastercard only). You will be transferred to a secure site. This takes you to the SecurePay payment gateway the preferred method of payment.  Note, Credit card surcharge of 1.75% + 0.30 cents will apply. 
  • It is also possible to pay by card via two alternative methods: (1) Choose "Credit Card via PayPal" and pay by card (you don't need a PayPal account) or (2) Choose "Bank Transfer, offline credit card or cheque" and send card details to be charged offline (form is on the invoice issued). Note, Credit card surcharge of 1.75% + 0.30 cents will apply.

*Bank Transfer & Cheque: The details required are on the bottom of the invoice issued. Please quote your invoice number in the reference so we can identify the payment!

Registration Instructions

PLEASE TYPE CAREFULLY

  • Your name badge will be printed as YOU have typed it - if you make a typo, it will be printed!
  • Please DO NOT type everything in Capital letters or small case, use Sentence Case e.g. type Thomas Morgan not THOMAS MORGAN.
  • Please ensure your email address is correct or you will not receive any notifications!
  • During registration there is a field "VIP code", you do not need to fill this out - please leave it empty.
  • Please fill out the "Billing Address" in the payment section even if it is the same as your address. The billing address is displayed on the invoice, (some attendees have a different billing address). The registration will not be completed unless you fill this out. If you wish your organisation to pay, please put the organisation address in the Billing Address.
  • Bank Transfers: please quote the invoice number in your Reference or we will not know who it is from!

REGISTER HERE

1.   Select you ticket(s).  You can register multiple people at the same time on the same invoice.

2.   Enter name and email address of the primary contact.

3.   Press "Register".   A new page will appear to fill in the details.

4.   If you wish to purchase the Reef Magic excursion on the 25th July, you can select the option during registration. (See Social Page for info.)

5.   If you wish to bring someone not attending the conference to the dinners please select the Accompanying Persons Package during registration (see below).

6.  Should you wish to present a talk or poster, please go to the abstract submission tab and submit your abstract by 1st June 18.00 AEST.

 

Accompanying Persons Package (No access to conference!):

For attendees who wish to bring someone to the dinners (inc. Conference dinner) at the Cairns Colonial Club on 23rd, 24th & 26th July (drinks not included); please either select an Accompanying Persons' Package during registration or make a request to be on a seperate invoice BEFORE YOU PAY FOR YOUR REGISTRATION OR IT WILL APPEAR ON THE SAME INVOICE. If you have paid it is IMPOSSIBLE to separate invoices! Please email Rania (contact us tab) to arrange a separate invoice to your registration.   Please provide the name of the accompanying person(s) and the address to be shown on the invoice. 

Cost:

  • Adult (>12 yrs) = $130
  • Child 4 - 12  = $65
  • Infant 0 - 3 = free
